Recipe
Serves 5
Ingredients:
10 figs
3/4 cup feta cheese
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon of honey (optional)
1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
Rosemary springs
Balsamic reduction for drizzle
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F
Cut figs in half and add to a baking sheet
Place 1/2 cup of feta in the centre and add the rest on top on the figs
Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of olive oil
If desired, drizzle 1 tablespoon of honey over feta placed in the middle of the baking sheet (honey is optional)
Add salt, pepper to taste and balsamic reduction all over
Place 1-2 rosemary springs on top
Sprinkle with chopped walnuts
Bake for 25 minutes in oven
Once baked, add some more balsamic reduction drizzle Serve warm with sourdough toast or crackers!
